I Haven't Abandoned You!

Hey Ladies,

I really an sorry for my recent lack of posts, but there is honestly nothing I can do about it. You see my laptop broke and it had to ey sent away again (this is the seven time in six months!) and it's taking a long time to come back. I am still reading posts by my favourite bloggers (May Loves Makeup, Beauty Crush, Peonies and Lilies, check then out if you haven't already, they're pretty fabulous!) on my iPod but it was only today I discovered I could post on it too! I don't think it will let me post pictures which is pretty crappy but oh well at least you know I'm not dead!

I think as an 'I'm Sorry' I'm going to have one whole month (not this month, I think May is best) of daiy posts, random blogs, any requests that you have I WILL do I promise! So, just commented below or email me at cuteascandie@hotmail.com to let me know what you'd like to see on my blog!

1. What's your favorite color?
In general? Pink. To wear? Torquize, definatly.

2. What's your favorite number?
19. Purely because I was born on the 19th. Goodness, that makes me sound full of myself doesn't it?...

3. What is your dream career?
I really haven't a clue.. I've been thinking about being a Child Phsycologist but I'm still unsure.

4. Where do you see yourself living when you're on your own?
If by 'on you're own' you mean, 'when you leave home' then I'm not sure again, hopefully I get into Glasgow University so then obviously I would be living in Glasgow.

5. Where is your favorite place to travel?
I love travelling, absoloutly love it. I really want to travel the world, its one of my life abmitions. One of the places I want to visit desperatly is Austrailia.

6. What do you do in your free time?
I hate this question. Its like 'what are your hobbies', I don't have any! In my free time I just go to my friends houses and things like that.

7. Favorite clothing stores? 
I don't have just one, theres : Primark, New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Quiz.. 

8. Dream car?
I really couldn't tell you.. I haven't got a clue about cars, not a clue! So I can't really this properly so I'm just going to say, a nice one?

9. What TV shows can't you live without?
If I'd been asked this question this time last year I definatly would have answered Lost. But since that ended, I can't really say that. Too be honest, no tv show in my opinion can ever match up to Lost.

10. 3 things you need in your life are...?
Family, Friends and happiness.

11. I can't sleep without...?
Having my neck covered.. Ever since I was little I can't sleep unless my neck is covered by my blankets incase vampires get me. Obviously, I don't still believe in vampires but its just a habit now and I can't sleep unless I do it.

12. If you were given 1 million dollars all for yourself what would you do with it?
I would give some to my mam, I would give some to a homeless charity, I would give some to a animal shelter and then I would probably do a MAJOR shopping spree.

13. I have a celebrity crush on...?

14. What is your favorite treat to eat?
Kiner Beunos, DEFINATLY!

This is a hard one.. Maybe a tiger?

Spring, because were I live we get the best weather of the year in Spring. I also love Winter because of Christmas.

17. My favorite childhood shows were...?
It actually cannot be anything other than Scooby Doo. He is possibly the highlight of my childhood!

18. Why did you start doing Blogs?
Boredom got the best of me and I thought this would be a creative way to express myself.

19. What do you hold close to your heart?
Nothing really I supose.. Probably it would be my dog and a picture of me and my dad when I was a baby.

Montagne Jeunesse ♥

This is just a wee rave about Montagne Jeunesse and how much I love their wonderful products! I remember when I was little and I would steal my mam's face masques when she was busy and put them on myself. I have been using Montagne Jeunesse products for as long as I can remember and they really do work absoloute wonders!

At £1.01 buy a few is hardly going to break the bank and they are worth it in every single way. Montagne Jeunesse has a huge range of absoloutly everything! There is face masques, lip balms, face tonics, hair masques, foot and leg care products, body products, anti-aging, a mens range and more! It really is a good all rounder.

My personal favorites and re-purchases are :- Chocolate Mud Masque and Passion Peel Off

If you go onto the Monatgne Jeunesse website there is a little tab that says 'Gorgeous Free Stuff' and if you click on it you get the option to fill in a few questions then if you're 'randomly selected from, time to time you will recieve products in development' and when you return the questionairre to them they will send you a bundle of free stuff! Simples.

Check them out and you could end up with a load of free stuff, and lets face it who doesn't love free stuff?!

OPI Dupe ♥

As you might have heard OPI's Katy Perry range is pretty fantastic looking but it pretty steep in the price area too. Far enough if some people want to spend around £9 for one nail polish then good on them but I just can't afford that kind of luxury.

I did a bit of looking around and found this gorgous and brilliant dupe for Teenage Dream, a light pink glitter polish. Rimmel's 60 Seconds in 400 Starlet is the polish in hand. Its so gorgous and a dead ringer for Teenage Dream.

 

There is also a great dupe going around for the OPI Black Shatter Effect nail polish! Barry M Crackle Effect and just a fraction of the price!



Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick ♥

I bought this lipstick a while back and I absoloutly love it ♥

I picked this up for £6.99 in my local Superdrug but since then I've seen it for cheaper prices elsewhere so its worth having a look around before hand if the price bothers you but for me personally I thought it was quite reasonable.

Myself : "I did fall in love with the colour again and agian, however what I did not fall in love with was how easy the lipstick wears off... However saying this, I didn't liner my lips first so that might have something to do with the easily wearing off. It does feel delicously creamy and very moisturising which I love. This really isn't anything to do with Maybelline so I can't really fault them but I was quite disappionted at the range my Superdrug had. Out of the '37 Captivating Shades' my local had maybe 6/7? But as I said  I can't blame Maybelline *cue evils to Superdrug manager..*. "

I got this lippie in 165 Pink Hurricane. Its a deepish pink with a subtle shimmer when the light shines on it.

For so so so many years I have wanted and been absoloutly craving a leopard print scarf. It might seem silly but all the ones I have seen so far have been either too thick, too thin, to short, too long or just plain not right. But that all changed when I popped into my local M&Co and saw this absoloute beauty! Words cannot describe how happy I am..

Its so pretty and an dead ringer for the Louis Vuitton one I had considered investing in. Also its £460 cheaper!

So without further ado, here is my new baby! (sorry about the picture quality, I lost the USB for my camera so I have to use my Blackbery..)

NOTD - Strawberry Fizz

Rimmel London I ♥ Lasting Finish *Fruities*

Yesterday I bought a nail varnish from the Rimmel Fruities collection. I got a pretty party pink called 025 Strawberry Fizz. It applies very well and only needs two coats in my opinion. When it dries it smells absoloutly gorgous! Like a yummy fruit smoothie. Its my new favorite colour and I will definatly be making a few more purchases from this range.

Mini Nail Polish Haul

So, I went to town today and bought a few nail polish's. Nothing exciting really but I though I would share it with you. They're all Rimmel, two 60 Seconds and two I *heart* Lasting Finish.

Rimmel London 60 Seconds.

The first one I got from this range was a gorgous grey colour. I've been wanting a nice grey for a while now and when I saw 805 Grey Matter I simply HAD to buy it! I can't really do a review since i've literally had it about two hours, but reviews and NOTD will be up soon! :-)

The next colour from the range is 810 Blue My Mind, a blue that in the bottle looks like a very pretty purple but when its on your nails with two coats it turns into a gorgous deep blue. Again swatches, reviews and NOTD will be up soon.

Rimmel London I ♥ Lasting Finish

The first one I got from this range is a shiny, shimmery blue called 198 Azure. I'm actually not to sure if I really like this colour or not. I think it would be alright if I was wearing something that matched the colour exact but I doubt i'll ever wear this colour.

Last and by absoloutly no means least, in fact I think this is probably my favorite out the bunch, is a perfectly pink 025 Strawberry. I am soooooooo in love with this colour, its actually so gorgous! My absoloute new favorite. You'll be hearing raves about this in the future, mark my words! :-)

Ouch.. I need your help??

Okay, so I recently burned my arm quite severely on a tray out of the oven. I ran it under cold water from about half an hour but it still boiled and burst. Its started to scab over now but its still quite sore and is very hot to touch..

My question is how can I prevent scarring? Its in a very noticable place on my wrist and I really don't want scarring to occur..

So there I was innocently browsing the Topshop website when this GORGOUUUS dress jumped out at me..

there is no way I can justify buying it though, there is nowhere on earth thats I get invited to thats fancy enough for me to wear that. Might just have to invest in it and keep it for a special occasion! Its from Topshop and is in the sale for £32 down from a whopping £75!!

1. I'm tall for a girl. 5ft 11 to be exact.

3. I dislike alot of things that most people like.. Like:- toast, top gear, beans, tomato sauce, coke, pizza and more probably I just can't think of.

4. One day, I want to model. One day, I will model.

6. I am an organ donor as of  Sunday 20th of February.

7. I want to have lots and lots of children.

Growing up, my family was quite poor. We didn't have a camera ourselves so the little family photos we do have were taken by relatives or friends and given to us. Throughout my early life I was very aware of the fact that my daddy was an ill man. I remember clearly one time, I was home alone with him and I went through into the living room from my bedroom and he was there having an Epileptic fit right next to the fire, his head hitting off the hearth. I must have only been about 4 maybe 5 so I didn't know what to do. I remember just having to sit there watching him fitting, me crying and just wanting mam to come home.

Whenever my dad would ask me what I wanted for Christmas or my Birthday or just a treat for being good, I would always say without a question "All I want is for you to get better daddy.". I remember once after I said that I walked in on him crying to my mam saying he can't give me what I want.

My dad was a softie, a big softie really. He might now have seemed it at 6ft 4, well built and a shaven head but he really was just a big softie who loved animals, Only Fools And Horses and his family. A retired policeman from Newcastle, he was a scary man. People from Tyneside woud say something to my mam and then they'd back track saying "Eeh, I didn't know you were Micks wife, I'm sorry pet.".

In 2007 my dad started getting more and more ill. By October, he had a chest infection and couldn't breath well atall, was aways sleeping and when he was awake he made no sense. One day, I was getting ready for school, it was a Wednesday, and I remember he was particularrily out of it. Mam said she was going to take him to the doctors. Later on, I was in class and we were doing project time when one of the teachers came into class saying that I would be picked up from school early as we'd had an unexpected visitor. When I got into the car mam said that dad was in hospital.

We went to see him and he was in A&E then he was taken to a High Dependancy Ward. He was awake for the little time we were there then fell asleep. We left while he was asleep. I will never forgive myself for that.

The next morning we got a phone call saying that he'd taken a turn for the worst and we should get there quickly to say good bye. When we got there, he was unconcious. We went in and we started crying and telling him we loved him and all the time I was there I kept apoligizing for the stupiest little thing,  a few years earlier I asked dad if I could do something and he said no so I asked mam, he said he wouldn't ever forget me going behind his back. Thats all I could think about. We went to the office so mam could phone a neighbour to come take me and my brother home. While we were in there a nurse came in and told us he died. He died 3 minutes after we got there. The nurse told us they were amazed he had lasted that long, that they had told him to hang on because his family were coming to say goodbye and that they believed that was why he had stayed alive.

Dad died because of smoking. He didn't have a chest infection that was making it hard to breathe. He had a tumor that was so big it had collapsed one of his lungs. They said he'd had it for years. They said if he had stopped smoking a few years earlier, 2/3, he would still be alive today. That along with all his other medical conditions, epilepsy, diabetes, back troubles, hallucinations had been the death of him. This strong, ex-navel, huge man had basically killed himself. He left behind a 8 year old son and a 12 year old daughter and a wife.

That was three years ago this Halloween.

I hope to make my dad proud, I hope to go onto do Highers in English and Maths. I'm not sure what I want to do for a job yet, but I want to help people. I've decided to become an organ donor and I'm going to give blood. I want to help people that can't help themselves.

I'm determind that this will be my Cinderella Story. This will drive me to be stronger later in life, give me motive. I'm going to be healthy. I'm going to be giving. I'm going to survive life.
